Remote Access Solutions

X.COMM is a privately owned company, formed in 1987, to market established dial-up communications software in the UK. Initially, X.COMM provided products for Async dial-up to IBM mainframes and AS/400's across X.25 Public Data Networks. By the early 90's it was clear that access to the IBM systems in isolation was no longer enough. The enormous growth in Local Area Networks and the move towards LAN based applications meant that it was desirable, if not essential, that dial-up services should provide access to the LAN. Analysis of market requirements identified that there was no single product or technology that was going to satisfy everybody.

Remote access technology transforms a local computer into the remote computer. In order for a remote access connection to take place, remote access software is required- the local machine must have the remote client software installed and the remote machine must have the remote server software installed.

This is great for remote pc access or remote computer access where people who sometimes work from home and for server administrators who frequently need to update and make changes on their server machines. Most secure remote access programs & remote access solutions allows remote email access & remote internet access and enable users to transfer files between the local and remote machines, which can save a lot of commuting time.

Almost every organisation needs to access corporate IT services from outside the office walls--remote network and desktop access is universally required thus making remote access security a priority. Making sure access is secure consumes significant staff time and IT budgets. There are plenty of options available for securely connecting remote users to the enterprise.
