Acxiom has teamed up with EMC to offer remote backup to businesses, in an effort to improve data protection offerings.
The firm has joined with the world leader in information infrastructure solutions to give companies the opportunity to remotely backup the data on their laptops and computers.
Jodi Goglin, Acxiom Center of Excellence leader for server and storage, said: "Traditionally, businesses have had limited backup options, except for local methods including tape, disk, DVD or external hard drives."
She added that firms now look for data protection solutions which are low in cost and easy to deploy, in addition to being able to access data quickly.
Ms Goglin said most current remote backup solutions are too complex and expensive for the current small-to-medium business market.
Acxiom aims its offering will reduce the costs of expenses and time in recovering data.
The firm recently won an award at the American Business Awards, for the best marketing organisation in the country.
