Over a third of chief information officers think their datacentres will not be able to cope with the volume of information produced by the company in the future.
A new survey has shown that the top IT bosses think in two to five years their datacentres will not meet the demand for business services and applications, reports Computer World UK.
HP commissioned the survey in line with the release of their new products and services which are aimed to help businesses transform their datacentres.
Uday Kumaraswami, vice president of consulting and integration for HP services, said: "Today customers are facing multiple challenges - the explosion of data, a growing mobile workforce and the need for access to real-time information."
Over 160 in-depth interviews were conducted with chief executive officers, chief information officers and senior businesses in Europe, the US and Latin America.
It was recently reported that data created outstripped the space on which to store it for the first time last year.
