Top bosses in IT are getting paid more than ever, but their job satisfaction has decreased, according to a new survey.
Research from Harvey Nash has shown that while 80 per cent of IT leaders are happy with their salaries, 28 per cent are looking for a new job, reports Computer World.
It was found that 75 per cent of chief information officers (CIOs) are earning more than $125,000 (£62,500) per year, which is a five per cent increase on last year and a 39 per cent increase on 2006.
There has also been a ten per cent increase in the number of managers earning $200,000 (£100,000), with the figure now being 29 per cent, said the website.
However, CIOs feel their role is less influential, with the number of workers who think their position is becoming "more strategic" having decreased from 80 per cent to 69 per cent.
It was recently reported that the number of people looking for work in the IT sector has increased by 17 per cent so far this year.
