Top bosses of companies think their firms are not responding well to taking advantage of technology, according to a new survey.
Research of over 1,000 chief executive officers (CEOs) by IBM found that change is a top business issue, with 80 per cent predicting substantial change in the next three years.
While the number of CEOs predicting change has increased since the last survey in 2006, there has been a decrease in the number feeling they can handle it.
Many firms said they would be adopting business models to help meet the challenges of factors like changing processes, with many including virtual technology in their plans.
Top IT bosses said that concerns about the environment had risen over the past four years, but it is still not a big issue around the world.
A report earlier this year found that the majority of chief information officers expect big change in business IT over the next three years.
