Businesses looking to reduce their costs on managed services such as mobile communications should take into account all the options available to them, it has been claimed.
According to Peter Gradwell, founder and managing director of internet solutions provider Gradwell, voice over internet protocol is popular with businesses but more companies need to be exposed to it.
He added: "It's a case of inertia - although 42 per cent of businesses think they're paying too much [for mobile communications] and would like it to cost less, can they be bothered to do anything about it?"
Mr Gradwell went on to say the best strategy is for firms to make themselves aware of all the options on the market, as there are many communication solutions available.
Earlier this month, IT security provider AdaptiveMobile claimed mobile operators should carefully consider their international mobile broadband strategies and not simply ban customers from downloading data through their mobile broadband service while abroad to adhere to new EU legislation.
