Computing giants Intel and Oracle are set to team up to improve encryption for cloud computing customers.
The companies have revealed they plan to create new data encryption technologies for cloud computing and virtualisation customers.
Both firms revealed their plans at this week's OracleWorld conference, saying data encryption was part of a large idea to work together on web standards for cloud provision.
An announcement from the firms says: "Enterprises running software in public clouds must have assurances that the environment is secure, private data can be accessed only by authorised applications, and activities are tracked for auditing and compliance reporting."
It adds the current work being done by Intel on security for virtualisation will be used on Oracle products with both firms continuing to "better integrate their data encryption technologies".
In related security news, Fortinet has recently asserted Juniper's claim of having the fastest managed firewall is false, saying it has shipped at speeds of 120 Gbps for the past two to three years, the Channel website reports. |
