Employees browsing on the internet on work time will be a little safer today, after Yahoo! and McAfee have announced plans to highlight websites at risk.
The collaboration will help users of Yahoo!'s search tool to be made aware of any untrusted websites.
It will be launched in beta form today and will rely on information from McAfee as to what they deem to be a dangerous site.
Websites which are deemed to be untrustworthy or compromised will include those with spyware, adware and other forms of malware.
Vish Makhijani, senior vice-president and general manager of Yahoo!, said: "Through this partnership with McAfee, we can offer users a safer search experience and drive more users to make Yahoo! Search their starting point on the web."
The move is a bid from Yahoo! to get more surfers to use their search engine, rather than Googles.
A specialist UK information security firm has said that research from PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Department of Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform show that companies need to educate their staff on security and network management.
