Siemens is to expand its managed services partnership with NHS Fife by using the Capula Patient Administration System to add community and mental health services to the portfolio.
The purpose of the move is to improve patient care by providing access to records beyond the hospitals and medical centres where they bare stored, enabling NHS staff to access information by remote means, e-health insider reports.
Dr Stella Clark, medical director for primary care at NHS Fife, said: "The extension of electronic records from the operational division into the community sector will deliver greater process efficiencies and enhance our clinical governance processes."
Last week EDF Energy announced a deal with Capita Resourcing for a managed services contract which will manage contract and temporary workers at the power company.
EDF said the arrangement is designed to lower costs, improve administration and raise the quality of the recruitment process, Online Recruitment magazine reports.
