Oracle has released a series of security patches including one which will allows an external user to access information without a username or password.
The 41 fixes have been released for the company's database and other products, with 15 patches being specifically for the authentication issue.
Slavik Markovich, chief technology officer of a database security vendor, Sentrigo, described the flaw as meaning the "database is a sitting duck".
The number of fixes released surpasses last month's figure of 26, but does not meet the 51 patches which were released in October last year by the company.
Mr Markovich said: "It seems the database contains so many modules and so many lines of code I really expect it to keep up that pace."
He also advised that businesses can protect themselves by not installing unnecessary modules at the initial stages.
Other systems affected include the Applications Server, Collaboration Suite and the PeopleSoft software.
In related news, the date for Windows XP Service Pack 3 has been leaked, with users being able to access it on April 21st.
