A new camera product could make video conferencing more realistic for businesses by using "eye-to-eye" technology.
The technology says it will stop the awkwardness often involved in video conferencing, whereby the viewer is not looking at the camera but at the image of the person they are conversing with, reports TechWorld.
Greeneye, the UK company launching the product, claims the product is "as personal as in a real-life visit".
Eye Catcher 3.5, as the desktop camera is known, reflects the image of the person calling into a mirrored screen which contains the camera, meaning the users are always looking at each other.
Enhanced conferencing technology can help to reduce a company's carbon emissions, if vital meetings can be held over video rather than travelling, reports TechWorld.
Paul Dickinson, director at Greeneye, said: "Businesses are waking up to the fact that they need to reduce their carbon emissions."
