Managed search engine optimisation (SEO) is proving a cost-efficient marketing discipline in the current economic climate, it has been claimed.
According to digital marketing agency bigmouthmedia, firms worldwide are becoming increasingly attracted by the blend of effectiveness and measurable return on investment that managed SEO provides.
Industry guide New Media Age commented that: "The increased investment in search during the recession reflects the drum beaten by specialists and search pioneers over the past decade: that it's an incredibly effective, cost-efficient and wholly trackable marketing discipline."
According to the 2009 UK Search Engine Marketing Benchmark Report, half of Britain's senior marketers are set to increase their online budgets over the next 12 months.
Earlier this week, web designer and online marketing specialist Susan Lee commented that managed SEO can be the difference between successful websites and those that fail.
She went on to say an effective site must have the right kind of content, code, design, navigation and visibility.
